Register now for spring 2027 online peer training

Are you interested in teaching software performance engineering (SPE)? Whether you’re just getting started or looking to improve an existing class, you are invited to sign up for the third annual Fastcode peer-training program (or meta-class) on teaching SPE.

The meta-class is free and 100% online. Many resources will be made available at no cost. Participants may view recorded videos of the Spring 2027 MIT 6.106 class on SPE taught by Professors Saman Amarasinghe, Charles E. Leiserson, and Nir Shavit. Participants may also access MIT 6.106 readings, homeworks, recitations, projects, and quizzes. Professor Mike Spear (Lehigh) will lead a weekly one-hour Zoom meeting to facilitate group discussion about MIT 6.106 content from an instructor’s perspective. There will also be a Piazza forum for asynchronous discussion.

Please complete this form to apply for the meta-class. We expect the meta-class to start around Feb 8 and end around May 20, with Zoom meetings scheduled at a time that suits all participants. If you would prefer to take the meta-class another time, please complete the same form and let us know. If you have any questions, please contact Mike at mfs409@lehigh.edu.
